My Prostate Cancer Journey
“Welcome to My Prostate Cancer Journey. My name is George Wilson (AKA Gdubs), and this website is my personal account of living with prostate cancer. Here, I share my experiences, strategies, and the positive mindset that has helped me navigate this journey. I hope my story inspires others facing similar challenges and offers some comfort in knowing you’re not alone.”
Staying Positive
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is the power of a positive mindset. Cancer can be a heavy burden, but I’ve found that focusing on the good things in life helps lighten that load. Every morning, I start my day with a moment of gratitude. I think about the people I love, the things I enjoy, and the small victories I achieve every day.
When I feel down or scared, I remind myself that it’s okay to have those feelings. But I don’t let them control me. I focus on what I can do to stay positive and move forward. Whether it’s listening to uplifting music, reading inspiring books, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the beauty around me, I make sure to fill my life with positivity.
Family Support
My family has been my rock throughout this journey. Staying close to my loved ones has been crucial for my mental and emotional well-being. Their support has given me the strength to keep going, even on the toughest days.
We make it a point to spend quality time together, whether it’s through family dinners, game nights, or just talking about our day. Their encouragement and love remind me that I am not alone in this fight. I encourage anyone facing a cancer diagnosis to lean on their family and friends. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or to share your feelings. Together, we are stronger.

Healthy Eating
I believe that food is medicine, and maintaining a healthy diet has been a key part of my cancer management plan. I focus on eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. I’ve cut back on processed foods and red meat, which can contribute to inflammation and other health issues.
I also try to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Eating well not only helps me feel better physically, but it also boosts my mood and energy levels. I’ve discovered that when I fuel my body with the right nutrients, I’m better equipped to face the challenges that come my way.
